Tim Bogert R. I. P

Rumours are circulating that Vanilla Fudge bassist Tim Bogert has died, aged 76. Anyone in a position to confirm?

His Wikipedia page has said that he has died, but no there is mention of cause of death or whatever.

Both Billy Sheehan and Tony Franklin put up tributes this morning, and I understand Billy and Tim were friends.

Apparently he died of cancer.

And his (band) mate Carmine Appice too, so sadly this seems to be true. May he rest in peace.

That's a shame. Tim Bogert's solo in ' Break Song' on side 2 of 'Near The Beginning' is a cracker.  Also the 'Beck, Bogert and Appice' version  of Superstition is something special.

RIP Tim Bogert - an inspiration for me.
