Again as I recall, the body was thinner than a P bass but thicker than a Gibson EB. And without any forearm chamfer or belly-cut. But if you're worried about neck dive, then try before you buy, as they say. 1 Quote
grenadillabama Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 My Embassy Pro has no neck dive, compared to the Epi T-Bird Pro I have. The longer top "horn" is a little longer so it balances better. The surprise for me is that the Embassy Pro sounds like a Thunderbird . 3 Quote

jassbass Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 These look cool Are they good value without upgrading anything? Thanks Quote

Thanks I would say yes they are good value and, as far as I was concerned, nothing was in desperate need of upgrade. I thought the pickups were great. The one issue I did have was that the fret ends were very slightly sharp/proud and needed sanding/filing but even that was not serious. Due to a health issue I am now only playing 30" scales, otherwise I would definitely have kept the Embassy. Quote

Paul C Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 Just got a black one delivered today. A string intonation was quite sharp so the saddle is all the way back now. I'll let it settle and report back. Fantastic looking bass but if theres no tolerance on the intonation I may return it. Not sure. Just thought to let anyone that is interested know. 2 Quote
Raslee Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 I keep looking at these......i feel something looming in the under £350 GAS land.....although those new Sire P's also look very good, but these Epipi's also look good. I had the Thunderbird recently which i thought sounded great, just looked silly on my beer belly......these may be a bit better...hmmm. 1 Quote
dudewheresmybass Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 I saw the price and was sorely tempted. question is though - which colour?🤷♂️ I played one of the original run which was cream, but that colour isn’t available this time🙄 Quote

Paul C Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 Hi Grahambythesea yeah I did return it in the end. A and E were just about in tune with the saddles all the way back. I dithered and then returned it. Could be just the one I got. Great looking instrument. I ordered the black/graphite one and you can't see it on the web site pictures but it's got a nice subtle sort of flecked finish but not shiny in any way. Really cool. I think I just didn't really bond with it. Maybe I expected too much. I never had the older model so cant say if it's anything like as bad as the previous batch. Definitely worth a try if there's a no quibble return policy available from seller. Quote
