Paul S
This has been recently listed. Yamaha SB-35. I had one, sold it, worst sellers remorse I've ever had. Never thought I'd see another one turn up but it is 1.5lbs heavier than mine was and I am going to pass it by. Superb, quality instrument that has a tone to die for. Much punchier than a Gibson, for example. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SB-35-Yamaha-Bass-Guitar-Made-in-Japan-1970s-Medium-Scale/164660265554
prowla
Much uglier than a Gibson, too...
Paul S
Depends upon your point of view. I prefer the body shape to a Gibson but find the treatment of the neck joint rather clunky.

Which is why you don't use a set neck design with a bolt-on neck.
