phil.i.stein
i've been looking at getting an octave pedal recently. after being very pleased mith my compressore, i thought i'd take a look at what mb have to offer. it looks good on paper, with separate octave outputs and a 'dub' switch to just play the affected sound. nobody has had them yet, despite being advertised on their websites. has anybody heard one yet, or does anyone know why they are not available yet ? i have sent a message to markbass, and am awaiting a reply. ta.. It seemed to lock and hold in a pretty solid fashion, certainly a whole lot better than my old BOSS octaver ever did. Quite fancy the Chorus/Flanger too
mike f
Rehearsed with my new Markbass Super Synth last night. Didn't have much chance to use the synth part but I can report that the Octave, er, bit, is fantastic! Any other Super Synth users out there? pantherairsoft
Spent some serious time the ast few days trying the super Synth and am seriously impressed. I have taken the plunge. My MXR M288 Bass Octave Deluxe will be off to the for sale section soon, along with a Boss ODB-3 in the next few days!
Kiwi
Does anyone know if the Deep Impact has a single waveform?
Bassinat66
I still love playing with this pedal, but I'm quiet unlucky with the software to edit the sounds a bit more. I did manage to install the software and to control the presets and hear the difference realtime when I'm controlling the virtual knobs. But I'm not able to store the presets I make on the pedal. I can create a preset. But now I want to store it under Tone 8(USER) on preset 5 for example. Did anyone else tried this yet? I'm not sure if it's my incapableness or a bug in the software. Cheers.
I am having a time of it too! The SAME problem that you so aptly describe. My post is muddy cause my mind is muddy! I could not install the software on my Mac after 3 attempts - it did install but that is it. I have the Super/synth tab selected, but get PEDAL NOT CONNECTED notice. Two hours later I installed the software on a PC it did install and I could alter the sounds but after trying out everything for another two hours - I am not able to save the edits. No to save to pedal - no to safe to computer. i had the # selected in each case but when returning to the same # no change on the sound I am lost and I have been working with computers/software for 15 years and now I am just dumb. I may just return and get my money back and this possess me off cause I LOVE the Super/Synth. Can anyone help this overloaded fools mind? pantherairsoft
I'm off to work now… drop me a PM today to remind me and I'll write up a basic user guide in as non-techie a way as possible… Overview… to save the sound, set it up on screen. Hold down the left mouse button over the preset number (eg 1-9) along the bottom until it flashes. That means the preset it saved TO THE COMPUTER (eg if you change patch now then the data is not lost). Then click on 'Store to Pedal'. Highlight the patch number you want to transfer (eg. the one you just saved) and click save (Or 'OK' I can't recall) and thats the preset sent to the pedal. There are other things you can do but I'll detail them later. One of the sounds I use quite a bit… http://www.myspace.com/ourhelicalmind - Listen to the track called 'Belly Door Snippet'. Thats Preset number 7 from my list of settings here - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=957556 Shep
