SteveXFR
I've got a Fur Coat and can't really get a useful tone using the octave and fuzz. The fuzz on its own is absolutely disgusting, a perfect doom metal tone but when I add the octave it sounds weak and thin. Has anyone managed to make it work with the octave? Hey dude, had mine just over a year now. I really like it, but it only really works well with a good clean blend, I used a Boss Ls-2 but other options are available, this drastically helps it become more bass friendly and useable. Very different after many years of big muffs. I found I prefer the gain at around 9 o clock, tone around 1 and Octave between 11/12, Tone to taste
Stub Mandrel
Not sure the exact tone you are after but the Joyo Voodoo Octaver might do what you want, mine is pretty doom-laden. The octave is fairly subtle but doesn't weaken the tone IMHO.
