Chezz55 Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Excellent programme on right now about The Band and their second album 'The Band'. Really good. Chris Quote
Lozz196 Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 Just watched the end of a Bowie gig, sound very well mixed but Gail Ann Dorsey severely overplayed on Ziggy Stardust imo, unless all of that was on the original recording but just couldn’t be heard. No doubting the ability but for me it just got in the way. Quote
PaulWarning Posted August 31, 2021 Author Posted August 31, 2021 just watched the "Punk" program, how fat has John Lydon got? I barely recognised him, he's huge, can't say I enjoyed it that much, Dave Vanian came across OK, but using the isolated Bass track on the Pistols doing God Save the Queen at the Winter Gardens was a bit below the belt Quote
Nail Soup Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Also just watched the Punk program. Yes, difficult to recognise Lyndon ….. he also seemed a bit different - more reflective somehow. Overall enjoyed it, I think there are two more. Quote

dave_bass5 Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 (edited) Got bored, now watching the old grey whistle test on BBC4. Gary Numan sounding playing a nice heavy version of Are Friends electric. His daughter has a great voice as well. Edited September 17, 2021 by dave_bass5 Quote

Lozz196 Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 Duran Duran from 2011 in Manchester currently on. Good overall sound and when you can hear JTs bass on its own he has a very nice sound, fits well in the mix without being too bassy, middy or trebly. Quote
alant Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 (edited) Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers concert on tonight at 9pm. It was also on a couple of months or so, well worth a watch though. (Sky Arts). Edited October 1, 2021 by alant 2 Quote
