First saw Lindisfarne on that Charisma tour with Genesis and Van der Graaf for 6/- at Birmingham Town Hall.

I hate it when people say that. ‘Cos I didn’t 😞

I saw that on an earlier run. Really really good. I might even have it recorded somewhere so I’ll have to watch it again.

The Lindisfarne program is on again now on BBC1

Strange, the TV listing says it’s the Lindisfarne documentary but it’s actually who do you think you are 🤔

It's still on the iPlayer, tho 🙂

Good point.

It seems that my Virgin Media setup has got its knickers in a twist. I’m getting correct Yorkshire region TV but North East program listings for some reason. I’m too tired to figure it out now so will have a look tomorrow.

Also apologies to @Reggaebass for not initially making it clear which program I was referring to. My original post incorrectly implied that it was the Trojan Records documentary. So, a bit of car crash on my part. I wish I’d kept quiet now. 😜

There’s some good stuff on BBC2 tonight ( Saturday 19th). Starting at 8.30pm there are three Stevie Wonder programmes including ‘ A night of Wonder’. These are followed at 11.35pm by a Teddy Pendergrass documentary.

Another plug for BBC2 on a Saturday night - this week there is the Bruce Springsteen documentary , ‘ A Secret History’ on at 9pm. Following this at 10pm there is the 2019 film ‘Blinded by the light’ , a great comedy drama.

Love those progs when the original musicians/producers go thru the master tapes. The Dark Side one was good but equally the I Will Survive one was fascinating....how a simple idea can become a world wide iconic hit, the process is so interesting.

That would be interesting… when I interviewed him last year I couldn’t shut the beggar up! 😈

On BBC4 tonight ( Friday March 25th) there is the 2018 film ‘Amazing Grace’, all about Aretha Franklin’s 1972 gospel album.

Well worth watching. I believe it was recorded without using any 'clapperboards' and so only due to recent technology could the sound and pictures be synched.

I agree.  I saw it a few months ago on Amazon Prime.  Some nice playing by Chuck Rainey, Bernard Purdie and my favourite guitarist Cornell Dupree.

Anyone got Samsung Plus. There are a few music station/channels one of which shows live concerts. Odd thing is though,  the guide for the channel is about 2hrs out...switch on expecting to see eg. Springsteen and you'll get Hendrix
