Limelight Jazz Bass, Relic [ sold]
£750
South Somerset

With much regret am listing this gorgeous bass guitar from Marks's stable of relic'd basses. Currently not playing &, anno domini rushing on, I have decided to let one or two treasures move on to pastures new.

3.7kg, superbly put together, growls like a good jazz bass should do without breaking your shoulder to get the tone. Relicing is superb & have added the bridge cover in keeping with the rest of the instrument. Currently strung with EB cobalt rounds though have also used it with flats as well. Dunlop straplock buttons on but have got the original Fender style ones which will fit back on.

Neck is P-style, lovely grain, very easy to play. Plenty of life left in the frets.

Sorry, no case but will be well packaged & will add decent gig bag as well.

Please note: This is being sold as a Limelight guitar, not as a Fender.

Hi Reggaebass

Nut width is 42mm so more p-width.

Have got a Sherwood Green Jazz from Mark which is 36mm which I might be prepared to part with.

As neck is more expensive would be £800

Man... Mark does some nice stuff 😍

Certainly does. Wouldn't be looking to sell if I wasn't 'considering my options' thanks to COVID.

Really really nice... 00110 is an early serial number too.. shame (for me) it’s a P neck but what an absolute beauty.. Marks work is amazing... love it..

Hi Dunk

Green one has Jazz neck, is 00201 for similar price. Bit more as neck is a more expensive one. If you want any more pics let me know.

I think I like the white one best.. your P that I bought is such a lovely bass.. 😬 is this the one in wateroftyne’s YouTube video?

Where in south Somerset are you as non essential travel isn't allowed!

If this is WoTs old bass, did it have a neck replacement? I was wondering as yours has a limelight number on the back and his doesn't appear to?

I live in Curry Rivel so not far from you.

This is the original neck went down to see Mark & he replaced the number - at some time someone had sanded the original off.

^^ Not me, it has to be said! It was numberless when I got it.

How odd!

I can’t believe this hasn’t been snapped up by now.......

With a jazz neck I would be all over it, but sadly I have tried enough to know that I will never get on with a P neck.

Massively tempted as I’m a Limelight fan but funds this month are limited.. 😕

Woodinblack - have a look at the Sherwood Green one which has a 38mm  nut width.

Perfect dimensions if it looked like the white one, sorry!
