Si600
Is it possible to get a properly clean sound out of a MB500 Fusion? I was playing about with it last night, and even with the preamp set to nearly nothing it's still a bit fuzzy, that may be a characteristic of the amp design of course. I also accidentally found the best overall tone out of it ever, by 12 o'clocking all of the controls apart from the volumes!
acidbass
I find that any class D hybrid head I've ever owned hasn't been able to produce clean tones at gig volume. Just seems to be an inherent issue with valve low end not being reproduced without fuzz!
gary mac
I've always been able to get a clean sound out of mine, first with Markbass cabs and then Barefaced. The only time it got a bit fuzzy, was when the preamp valves needed changing. I swapped them out and it was back to how I liked it. It's a bit of a faff changing them but I got it all done in under an hour.
