BreadBin Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 Oh great hive mind, I seek answers to questions... I have a friend with an old 1A pictured below - it has a broken switch. Is this an active/passive switch? Does anyone know if a suitable replacement? He would like to run passive if possible, so the simplest solution is to replace the switch if that is in fact what it is. Alternatively, is there a decent replacement preamp available? Does @KiOgon provide something suitable? Thanks in advance 👍 Quote

KiOgon Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 @BreadBin Yes I can do a passive kit, have done some in the past for Westones, PM me if you are interested. Cheerz, John Quote

Rich Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 @BreadBin, if your mate's active circuit is still working, I'd be interested in buying it off him. Mine is fecked. Quote

BreadBin Posted February 16, 2021 Author Posted February 16, 2021 Wow, thanks everyone some great info there 👍 He has decided to keep it original (sorry @Rich!) so I am looking for a suitable replacement switch. Do you have such a thing @KiOgon? 1 Quote
Rich Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 @BreadBin, give me a minute to check my spares box, I might have a flat bladed switch of that type. Quote
