elsharko
Mint condition, extremely rare (only 20 made!) Custom PGM Moon JB-5 w/ DiMarzio pickups A beautiful instrument, crafted to perfection. You can see the original info and pics here - http://www.guitarsjapan.com/2008_Moon_JB-5..._Jazz_Bass.html Alas it was a purchase I couldnt afford to make so sadly I need to let it go... This could be your only chance to own one of these ultra rare instruments. Originally $3300 Im looking for £1745 (NOW £1600). But be quick before I change my mind and keep it! I would also consider some trades - 35" scale for 5 stringers only Its alot of dough I know but well worth it. Check out http://www.moon-guitar.co.jp/index.html for the prices on these - and thats for the regular models! Edited October 27, 2010 by elsharko

Deep Thought
Sorry you've had to let it go so soon-it's a gorgeous bass. Somebody will be very well chuffed indeed with it. I presume you've put the scratch plate back on then?

elsharko
I have loved this bass for a while now....Whats the pre amp like through this bass?
I love the pre, its Moons own brand. TomB wrote this on my TalkBass thread: "I own this bass' sibling. Mine is identical in every respect except that it is finished in Burgundy Mist, (a '60's Fender color), and has a rosewood fingerboard. It is such a fine Fender-style instrument that I have needed no other 5-string since purchasing it. I bought it 10 or so years ago from the only former US dealer I know of: Dan Lenard, then of The Luthier's Guild in Chicagoland. The preamp is a Blackbird, but a 3-band, unlike the 2-band drop-in Jazz Bass replacement model, also a great preamp. It adds a mid-boost/cut feature that functions much like a presence knob on an amp; goose it if you ever feel you can't be heard clearly enough, or cut for a slap-tone. It features only useable tones, and sips 9-volt power. I have played many 5-string jazzes before and since and this instrument still tands alone. If you can manage it, buy it."
