I'll measure my bass today, its longer than standard and won't fit in most of the cases I have tried

No Worries, Not sure what you have, but I tried it with My Warwick Thumb 4 and it fits nice in there within the rock bag soft case.

Pro tip: there is quite a bit of padding at the pointy end, and removing some of it allows to fit longer basses than one would think without harming them.

I’ve used my (older) SKB case a lot, thankfully the new ones have locks on them ( I used to padlock and gaffer tape) ....I had my bass inside a thick padded gig bag big enough for Fender basses and never had a problem. Easy to wheel behind you at airports. Even better, wheel it in front and catch people out as they try and push their way around you!
