Hi there.

Fairly oldish guitarist here (59 tomorrow...been playing about 45 years...poorly), who filled in on bass for a couple of years back in the early 80's, but went back to guitar.

I've decided to get myself a bass again because, well, I just miss it.  A post will follow shortly, begging for advice.

I worked in the music trade in the late 70's & early 80's at a chain of stores called Carlsboro Sound Centres, if anyone remembers them.  I'm a senior IT Engineer for the NHS, and also do graphic design and 3D modelling/rendering for a few people in the business (Wampler and Norman's Rare Guitars being the only notable ones currently).

Anyroadup, here are my main planks.

1992 Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro - owned since new

1997 Les Paul Studio - not owned since new - looks like it's been chewed by a large dog, but a couple of lucky flips got me this for £235

Newish Strat - not much more to say, really

Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. rWNVV2D.gif

Oh I've definitely got a LOT to learn.

Welcome KN - Happy Birthday - you're three years younger than me and I'm just looking to re-start playing bass too after a long sloth-induced absence.  Enjoy this - it's a great thing to be doing.
