Basses in Japan

Something that has probably come up before, but does Japan house every single bass in the world?😅

OK, I exaggerate. But every time I search for a bass, there seems to be multiple available from Japan or Japan based dealers. Is this actually the case or are they mostly fake ads to direct traffic to eBay pages or other websites?

Haha. They do seem to have a ton of über-expensive kit. Just Google Warwick! I think they’re largely legit as quite a lot of the higher end custom basses on the Warwick gallery go to Japanese shops/customers.

Also in Japan it's common practice for brokers not to stock the actual instruments. They post and price listings based on what they can purchase within Asia. I watched a program about it last year, cant remember what the program was though! 🙄
