johnpaulbass
Hello, i’m in a hunt for a great overdrive. I’m more into Pop-rock so no need for agressive metal modern tones. thank you

Aliwobble
I had the agro for a while, playing in a covers band which would sometimes get rowdy. In the I moved it on as I felt that it was robbing me of low end. I have a way huge pork loin now which has a blend knob. Great pedal.
Cosmo Valdemar
Does it have to be one of those three? There are so many choices, and as many different opinions! It would help if you can post a link of the type of sound you're after. What's your current bass/amp?
dudewheresmybass
I have had the dg and Aguilar. sold them both. Wasn’t a fan of the aggy at all, I disappeared in the mix, no matter how it was set. the vintage was nice, but I couldn’t get it sound ‘right’ in my situations. As @Cosmo Valdemar said above, so much is dependant on rig and your target sound.
horrorshowbass
I had the darkglass too, too polite for me, think B3K or B7K would be meatier. I have a hardwire CM2 if your'e interested, basically like a Pork Loin and retains the low end. £55 posted. I use it for Muse style stuff. Zoom B1 Four has few class overdrives. I have a demo on youtube on bass (hardwire CM2 user: Michael Mclaughlin)

I've tried several overdrives and distortions courtesy of @dudewheresmybass and the CM2 was one of the best - no noticable loss of lows and retains your bass' character. Of course, this is all very much IMHO 😁 I didn't really get on with the Darkglass Vintage, although on paper that ticks all the boxes. Drive is such a personal thing.
MacDaddy
I cannot recommend my Flattley Bass Poison Ivy enough. There are some deals to be on their Silver Series pedals through their Reverb shop: https://reverb.com/marketplace?make=flattley-guitar-pedals Hand made boutique pedals made in England, and they are still small enough that you can phone them up and have a chat

Thanks Cosmo yeah I'm not even that arsed on selling it. I thought I would get full Geddy grunt and grind with vintage but probably should have went b3k. Lozz196
Is the aim to change the sound when the overdrive is on or to keep the core sound. Also do you want a real full on drive or a lesser drive to add in dynamics. If same sound & lesser drive then the TC Spark is worth checking out.
