The guitarist in my band has a 4 string and an 8 string version and uses them on Losing My Religion - obviously not together but whichever he fancies whenever. :)

They sound great and it always brings a smile to see him playing it.

Being a solid body, most of the distinctions are irrelevant with this thing... just the tuning.

No reason it couldn't be set up as a uke.
