paddy109 Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 I would like to replace my white pickguard but struggling to find one. I want an exact fit as I do not want to drill extra screw holes. Has anyone replaced and can you point me in the right direction? Thanks. Quote
Cat Burrito Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 I've done this a few times and with the CV 50s bass. EBay is good, unless you want something custom made? If that's the case you can take it off, stencil it on tracing paper and send it to the manufacturer. Quote
paddy109 Posted March 1, 2021 Author Posted March 1, 2021 I tied EBay before writing the post. No Results apart from custom US orders that aren’t to my taste. Quote

Not to my tastes either - just did the same search! What are you after? Black? This is strange because they had several a while ago. Quote
paddy109 Posted March 1, 2021 Author Posted March 1, 2021 Not completely sure, the bass is two tone sunburst. Black, Tort or Pearl? Quote
Cat Burrito Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 Have you tried items wanted here on Basschat? There are also a couple of UK based pickguard makers on here too. A black one should be easier to source but custom order would mean anything is possible. Certainly these seemed more readily available a few months back. Good luck finding something. Quote
Paul S Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 Brian will make you one and he is a/ quality and b/cheap. An unusual combination. https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/earlpilanz/Pickguards/_i.html?_storecat=19640124010 1 Quote
paddy109 Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 Given I couldn’t but what I wanted off the shelf I decided to DIY. I purchased vinyl car wrap in Matt black for less than £5 and below is the result. For a first attempt I am pleased. It’s not perfect and I learnt a couple of things I will do different next time such as use a scalpel instead of stanley blades. I have enough wrap to do again at least twice. 1 Quote
