Classic Vibe 50s precision pickguard replacement

I would like to replace my white pickguard but struggling to find one. I want an exact fit as I do not want to drill extra screw holes.

Has anyone replaced and can you point me in the right direction?

I've done this a few times and with the CV 50s bass. EBay is good, unless you want something custom made? If that's the case you can take it off, stencil it on tracing paper and send it to the manufacturer.

I tied EBay before writing the post. No Results apart from custom US orders that aren’t to my taste.

Not to my tastes either - just did the same search! What are you after? Black? This is strange because they had several a while ago.

Not completely sure, the bass is two tone sunburst.

Have you tried items wanted here on Basschat? There are also a couple of UK based pickguard makers on here too. A black one should be easier to source but custom order would mean anything is possible. Certainly these seemed more readily available a few months back. Good luck finding something.

Given I couldn’t but what I wanted off the shelf I decided to DIY.

I purchased vinyl car wrap in Matt black for less than £5 and below is the result. For a first attempt I am pleased. 

It’s not perfect and I learnt a couple of things I will do different next time such as use a scalpel instead of stanley blades. I have enough wrap to do again at least twice.
