Hotone as a pre amp?

Please excuse my ignorance, but can I use my Hotone Thunderer 5w Bass amp as a pre amp?

I was presuming I could connect a lead from the effects send to my combo instrument input Jack?

The effects send output might be a bit hot for an input that is expecting a low level guitar signal. It may clip in a way that isn't pleasant, unless that's what you're going for.

if the combo has an effects loop then connecting the Hotone effects send to the combo return should work fine.
