How come The Beatles are rarely ever played on the radio?

I think the channels have been saturated... to be honest, I think we heard it quite a lot during the 70's, 80's and even 90's. Wasn't it enough? Why do we not hear Small faces, Free, or some 50's rock more than they are played today?

Planet Rock needs to be renamed Planet Easy Listening after some of the playlists I've experienced on there of late...
