OK, I think this might be the first Fender bass to make me really sit up and take notice since the Roscoe Beck. A useful set of pickups and some interesting electrickery too. The only thing I don't like about this is the line, "currently only available in Japan".

Nice. Not dissimilar to the (also Fender) Stu Hamm Urge/Urge II in terms of concept.

I like well thought-out and developed hot-rodded versions of otherwise less interesting instruments; 

Yamaha Attitude

Fender Roscoe Beck (as previously mentioned)

Some of the Hotrod Deluxe and Elite precisions
