Reggaebass Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Looks like it’s the squier version of the P bass special 1 Quote
Marvin Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I was going to buy one of those a few years ago but couldn't justify yet another bass in the house. The only thing wrong with that particular Squier is that it looks like a biohazard and may get confiscated by a special UN chemical weapons inspectorate. 🤢🤮 1 Quote
Reggaebass Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 (edited) I’ve got the 1998 Mexican P bass special, they have the jazz width neck, and they play extremely nice Edited March 8, 2021 by Reggaebass 1 Quote

Reggaebass Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Clean it up and fit a new bridge and you got a nice bass there Quote
Downunderwonder Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Are there any Squiers worth counterfeiting? 1 2 Quote
MartinB Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Same bass as mine! Lovely necks on them. More info about them here: Squier Standard Series P Bass Special I don't think any amount of cleaning would make me want to touch that one though 🤢 1 Quote
TheGreek Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I also have the Squier JP Standard - good basses for the money. Quote

PaulThePlug Posted March 9, 2021 Author Posted March 9, 2021 (edited) Went for £107... i was outbid and run out of time... Usual 'Final Flourish' and possible bidding software? who knows... Was it anyone on here? Oh Well... And my Cheap Flat Adagio's turned up today... I'll keep looking for a Cheap P a-like... Regretting letting the Crafter Cruiser go to my eldest's mate now. Should just use the GSR200 as PJ rather than GASing Edited March 9, 2021 by PaulThePlug Quote

Well, to be fair, the seller did go out of his way to write "needs a clean" on the last pic. 😁 One can't have it all, ya know. 😉 Edited March 9, 2021 by BassTractor Quote

The winkey I used was to indicate I'm on @PaulThePlug's side in the discussion, as was the expression "go out of his way". 1 Quote
Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 The seller would undoubtebly had much higher bids if the bass didn't look so rusty dusty and sticky. 1 Quote
