WITHDRAWN - Squier JV Jazz Sunburst 62 with Vintage Fender Case

Bristol

I also inherited this one from my late Father a few years ago. Again, being realistic about the lack of use it gets these days it seems right to move it on.

Genuine original bass in excellent condition. There are a few light, tiny surface scratches around the body but only 2 dings as such. One tiny one on back of headstock and one small chip to bottom edge of body (both pictured).

Strung with flats.

Comes in a genuine vintage 1967 - 71 Fender case. This does have a good few scuffs but is totally serviceable, looks the business and is worth a few quid on its own.

Also included is what I assume to be the original hang tag.

What else is there to say? We all know how great these basses are and there aren't a great many around in this condition.

Collection only from Bristol, I won't post it. When travel is allowed again I would be prepared to drive to meet up / handover.

Not interested in any trades.

No serial number checking site that I have looked at is any more specific than 82 - 84.

If you unscrew the four bolts from the neck plate and take the neck off you will find a date on the neck butt

Yeah, I was looking for a quick answer online as I'm at work. Will take the neck off at the weekend. Although my early JV Precision has no pencil date just the EX export stamp. Cheers.

My jv jazz is SN38xxx and the neck date is slightly earlier than yours which all makes sense

The jvs were all produced over a short period - about 100000 over a 2/3 year period compared with the American AVRIs where the Fullerton years 1982 to 1985 only some 15000 to 20000 instruments were produced

If anyone is interested in this (or indeed the Stingray I also have on here) I would be prepared to travel a fair distance to meet and handover. I've been waiting for travel restrictions to ease before suggesting this.

Yes. In my opinion they're all superb. Have 2 Precisions also. One earlier than this and one later and I honestly don't think the specific date of one JV puts it above any other for quality.

Yes I agree

The only thing that changes as you get higher serial numbers is that they start using different parts - non spiral bridges, non reverse tuners, etc
