I can’t be the first to notice this isn’t his Musicman bass but the “whatever brand bass” from years back he used on some of the early recordings.

Oh yeah! Because it sounded like MM I thought it is one. Didn't noticed different headstock

Kinda where it came from I believe.

They were after something like the big session legends.... like the wrecking crew et al, someone came up with the wolf pack, and they thought it sounded cooler in a German accent.
