TheLowDown Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 (edited) I like wide 3.75 inch leather/suede straps, so I bought 3 of them for £21 each. They're excellent for gripping even for 6 string and distribute the weight evenly. No complaints. Edited March 23, 2021 by TheLowDown Quote

That 'sale' is a cheeky bit of advertising... every day the code changes to state the end of the sale is that day but the next day the sale continues... tricks you into panic buying. Having said that, the two I 'panic bought' arrived today and are really quite good! Quote
Skybone Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Up until a few years ago, I was an advocate of the good old, simple, plain leather, non-padded, 3" wide strap. Relatively cheap and cheerful, does the job, was grippy enough not to slide about when you didn't want it to, etc. Did I mention relatively cheap? £10-15 per strap. Sorted. Never really used the "seatbelt" type straps for bass, but ideal for a well balanced electric guitar. As age and it's related aches & pains advanced, I decided that I needed to invest in something with a bit of padding, and decided on getting a Mono GS1 Betty. I was so impressed, I bought one for each bass. 2 Quote
acidbass Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Just treated myself to a Gruv Gear Solo Strap Neo 4". Just looked like the most comfortable out of all the straps I checked out! There's a bit of a backlog on them at the moment although it should be here in 2 to 3 weeks Quote
