This is an essential weapon in any double bass player’s armoury. It is a high pass filter that allows those strong bottom notes but takes the boom away. It also has a phase reverse switch to help control feedback. This is the Mk 3 version and runs from internal battery or external power supply - I always used the latter.

These are not easy to find in the UK.
