Creeper
Simple question (I hope) I have a short Curley stereo lead which I want to wire up with neutrik mono jacks to go from my wireless body pack to my guitar, can I just tape up the extra cable and then wire it as normal? Dood
You can do that, or make use of it and solder it to the other signal conductor. - in fact, if you can get in to the stereo jack , just solder the Shield and the Ring together with a blob of solder at both ends and you won't even need to buy Mono jacks. So I could just solder both conductors to the same terminal in the jack rather than taping it up?
ahpook
I've got a few mono leads I made from stereo cable - I just wired both conductors to the output. Worked fine for me.

Solder both conductors to the Tip. For extra measures solder the Ring to the Shield.
