Davy
I'm currently playing an Ibanez SR1200 4 string but have been thinking about selling it to get a BTB 5 String. I tried one in my local music shop a while ago and really liked the way it played and sounded. The only question I have is that they are sold in EADGC tuning and I'd prefer mine in BEADG. Has anyone got restrung theirs this way and did it require any attention to the truss rod?

There are only two I can think of that is sold EADGC, the 33" scale BTB33 custom and one of the single cuts which may have also been that scale so quite unlike all the others. All other BTBs are 35" B-G, so if it is that one you tried, make sure you get just that one, as the others would play very differently. However, if you do get the short scale one, there should be no trouble restringing it, I don't think there is a construction difference apart from the scale.
