JB Special neck

I’ve got my eye on this, my question is, it’s a 22 fret neck, would it fit a us precision body I’ve got or would the extra frets make the scale length wrong or are the frets shorter

Pm the seller and ask for the scale length...if it's the same as a 21 fret you should be OK.

I'd be astonished if you can put that on a body designed for a 20- or 21-fret neck.  You'd have to move the bridge or rout the body. 

The key to it is keeping the scale length the same.

Thinking about it, I don’t know why I want the extra frets anyway, I don’t go above the 5th 😁

Measure Nut to 12th fret... then double it for scale length.

And this one, I’m wondering if the overhang might stop the heel fitting the neck pocket depth if it wasn’t designed for another body

Yeah.  The overhang doesn't look to be a fret's worth, to me.
