I've never had a double case, and probably wouldn't bother for regular transport. With a light weight head and Barefaced cabs I can carry two basses and a 900 watt rig on my own in one go. Don’t give up on the double gig bag idea - I only one take a single bag if I’m taking one bass to a jam. (Just make sure you keep two cables and a set of earplugs in all your bags.) peteb Posted April 27, 2021 Share Posted April 27, 2021 (edited) I've got an iGig double bag that I use on most gigs, which will safely take two basses and all the leads and spares, etc that I need on stage. I quite like the fact that it is rather heavy as it makes it very unlikely that some opportunist scrote is going to attempt to pick it up and do a runner with it. This is fine if you just have to take it from the car and back, but is a definite pain in the a*se on the odd occasion that you do have to carry it any distance. I have had it for a fair few years now and it has done hundreds of gigs. It is now starting to show a bit of wear and tear and I must admit, I am thinking of taking two bags to gigs when the time comes to replace it...! I've used it a lot, mostly with my Fenders, but I feel more comfortable using my iGig or my leather Reunion Blues cases with my nicer instruments.
