Trueno
Just arrived today (thanks, Gear4Music) This is to replace my much-loved, much-gigged EBS Microbass II. I rather like the EBS, but thought it was time for a change. I tend to be a set-and-forget guy and was finding the EBS a bit over-featured and over-knobbed for my tastes. I kept thinking... what if I mess with this knob (oo-er, missus). Been twiddling with the new SansAmp today and am much impressed.... I'm tending to settle on the SVT settings, at least to begin with, after trying with my Orange Crush 50 practise amp. Time to put it on my very minimalist pedal board, where it will share space with the Boss Tuner and hopefully try it out with my proper, grown-up Fender Rumble 500... possibly with rehearsals taking off in late May. I know there is nothing new with this pedal for a lot of you, but I'm chuffed as a mint!
dave_bass5
Nice one. My all time fav pedal, and especially this version of it. Just be careful with that Blend knob when playing with a band. A lot of people have it full up and complain they dont like the tone, but having it around 10 o’clock is a much better setting IME. I actually stopped using mine (probably would have started using it again) when i got my Rumble 800 head, as i felt it wasnt needed anymore. In the past ive used it always on with every head ive had, but especially Markbass heads which needed a bit of warming up. The Rumble seemed to not need it as much, at least not as an always on. When i was using a Helix i used to have the BDDI sim on by default with every patch. Enjoy 👍
Lozz196
They’re good pedals, really easy to get a good workable tone quickly, irrespective of what amp/cab you’re plugged into. I use their Para Driver which is similar, just has sweepable adjustable mids, and it’s that essential bit of kit for me. Tech21 gear I’d well made and sounds great, become pretty much an industry standard.
