dave_bass5
A song ive always loved, so when we found a singer who wanted to record it i jumped at the chance. We hit a snag as the singer didnt have any recording gear. She ended up singing in to her phone in her basement. Dont think it sounds too bad though. Me playing all keys and bass. Lozz196
Sounds good, it’s a great song and given your singers vocals were into her phone I’m very impressed at how it’s come out.
dave_bass5
Thanks very much. Yeah, I was a bit disappointed when she gave me the phone recording but I’ve made the best of it. Luckily Cubase has all the tools to help fix it Still very new to all this but hopefully getting better with each one. Certainly more enjoyable than playing with the band at the moment. akabane
Sounds good! Bit of feedback: your singer is flat against the instrumental, I'd add a few cents to bring the voice in line Btw: is your singer italian by any chance? Cheers and yes, i agree some of it is off pitch. I did start to fix it but it started sounding a bit ‘more’ artificial’ as I’m not great with the Variaudio stuff just yet. Ive never met her in person but ive been told she comes from the East end of London, or thereabouts. She doesn’t seem to talk with an Italian accent.
