Budget studio monitor speakers

I'm starting to record a few bits to share with the band with a fairly basic DI and DAW and I'm using headphones at the moment but I'd rather have some speakers. 

Are there any recommendations for speakers around or under £100? 

Do they just plug in to the jack socket of the digital interface box?

I bought a pair of these six months ago, when I started Lockdown experimentation with recording software. I did quite a bit of research first, and these definitely represented best bang-per-buck at the time.

I love them to bits, and I've felt no need at all to think in terms of upgrading them.

I love my JBL104’s. Just within budget as well. Not great for general music listening but thats not what they are designed for.

Yes, as long as you get active ones. Passive monitors need an external amplifier between the interface and monitor.
