"No, Leave It I was thinking of mentioning this, but wondered if it qualified as they deliberately left it in. But either way it's a classic moment, isn't it? I remember listening to this in various friend's bedrooms, and always joining in with this quote. Happy days 🙂

Woodinblack
I always liked the phone at the end of life on mars. Was coming in to post the black country woman bit, but see that has been done.

KK Jale
The ringing phone and Ronson swearing story at the end of Life On Mars is weird because I'm certain I can remember a cut in which somebody clearly says "Right! that's enough". On one of the great covers of a Chuck Berry song, Johnnie Allan's early 70s cajun version of Promised Land, in verse 8 he sings "terminal gate" like verse 7, but it should be "terminal zone" to rhyme with "telephone". AFAIK he always kept it like that. I think Dave Edmunds copied him. Edited May 24, 2021 by KK Jale
meterman
Syd Barrett’s first post-Floyd album “The Madcap Laughs” has mistakes left in almost all the way through, but that’s part of it’s charm for me. The tunes where he has The Soft Machine backing him and they’re barely keeping up with the twists and turns of his songs is cliff-edge stuff. Plus, the false starts and all the studio chatter. The first time I heard it I couldn’t believe it was all left in. Still a favourite album though.

I seem to remember an interview with Macca where he said he'd done multiple vocal takes and when he got one he was happy with it he noticed he'd got the names mixed up at the end, but he thought fcuk it that'll get then thinking 😀
squire5
Paul McCartney - 'Let me Roll it'. Couple of bloopers. At roughly 3.24 Macca completely misses a note and at 4.22,the 'double push' is a blatant mis-edit,according to Geoff Emerick. But Macca kept it in his live shows anyway. Cat Burrito
Radiohead's Creep has the electric guitar come in early but they left it in as it sounded good. Reading this thread, I don't think I want some of you lot to hear any of my recordings!
