steviedee Posted May 21, 2021 Share Posted May 21, 2021 I was wondering if anyone knows of a volume pedal that takes a TRS input from a Ric and splits the signal to two mono outputs. I have a home made Rickosound which is great but I’ve just bought a Helix Stomp and I’d rather use the expression for switching snapshots than volume. PaulThePlug Posted May 21, 2021 Share Posted May 21, 2021 (edited) I'm not familiar with the Rick-o-sound... is it just Neck n Bridge pickup wired seperate to a stereo jack? Should be easy to rewire a std passive vol pedal. Swap the mono in for a stereo jack socket... use the old mono in for the other mono out... change the pot for a dual gang, might not be bang on L & R balance. paul_5 Posted May 21, 2021 Share Posted May 21, 2021 The Rick-O-Sound uses a switching jack as secondary output, so that when a second jack is plugged in the pickups are split neck - output 1 and bridge - output 2, if there's no jack in the second output then the main mono output just gets both pups in parallel, similar to a standard Jazz bass wiring.
