Bass player from Norway here, been playing off and on since I first discovered the bass by accident 33 years ago.

Worked as a hired gun for live musicians for awhile and have done some studio work through the years (80/20 Metal/random stuff). Never been a professional musician, life happened, and I never did put in the hours to get there (lazy basstard). But still love playing the bass every day:)

Big fan of Sandberg, Status Graphite, Xotic, Modulus, Atelier Z, Markbass, EBS, Mesa Boogie.

Currently spending most of my time on a Sandberg VM4, a Sandberg TT4 sl and a Xotic XJ-1T lightweight 5 string. Sound comes out of a Markbass SD 800 with two tens and one fifteen Traveler.

Would love to buy a Zon one day in the future, so I can (hopefully) put it on the list of my favourite basses.

That was more words than I’ve written in the last 35 years. Sorry😅

And btw, love this site, been using it for years in search of knowledge about the deep end, and you guys have always delivered, thank you all!

You tripped over one in a music shop?  You were sent shopping and hadn't realised you were supposed to buy fish?  Do tell.

And of course:  Welcome aboard! :crigon_04:

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone🙏🏻
And yeah been on this site for years but never bothered becoming a member, about time I guess. Love the site btw👍🏻
Would have been a good story if had bought a bass instead of fish;)

The story is: I wanted to play the guitar😬

Sorry.

Went to the youth club to take some guitar lessons. But the guitar teacher were fully booked, so they sent me to the bass teacher, I did not even know what a bass was, so I was very sceptical.

Did get even more sceptical when I saw the teacher in his pink leopard spandex pants. But as it turned out, the guy was an accomplished bass player (Victor Borge). So with a few slaps he sold me on the bass. Never looked back and still love the low end.

Have a splendid weekend, finally summer🌞
