So this “orphan” drum kit idea has now turned in to more of a “jelly bean” kit, as I bought a white 60’s Olympic kick drum!  What with the two blue toms and the red snare, I think it looks quite cool.   Now on the hunt for some vintage Super Zyn cymbals to complete it!

Ooh, Nick Van Gelder was selling a full set of Super Zyns today on that Buying and Selling Facebook page!

I was a smidge too late - he’s just sold them!

Nope - different bloke!  The standard Zyns weren’t much cop apparently.  Supers is where it’s at!

Just bought a Super Zyn ride.  Mrs Turgh will not be happy 😬

Interesting!  Got the steel snare though - I prefer steel.  Only really need the kick, but they don’t seem to come up.  Going to concentrate on assembling some nice cymbals first, then got back to the ultimate shell combination.  Just saw a Super Olympic kit on Facebook - dang, that’s nice;

I've got a 60's Premier jazz kit in a similar brushed blue finish although I think it is a bit darker than yours.  Has Super Zyns too!

I never get to play it any more unfortunately.
