Come to think of it, over the years my basses have been a lot more reliable than some of the people I’ve shared a stage with 🤣.

Yep, sadly you can't bring a spare guitarist!

Best to try and keep those to the bare minimum 🤣

Many years ago I popped in to see an old band of mine and was surprised to see the guitarist standing at the bar and someone else playing guitar. Apparently the guitarist arrived too drunk to play and the BL asked if there was a guitar player in the house. There was.

My band has just added a 3rd guitarist precisely so we do have spare.  We're an instrumental band so it's a bit more crucial when one of the guitarists is in more a "lead singer" role.

I've recently acquired a Digitech Drop pedal and intend to use that as "back up" bass by setting it to octave down and using the band's common spare guitar.   It'll be good enough to get through a gig.

Ive been lucky, never had a dummer issue!

I've had the same drummer since 2009. He's mine and you can't have him! :)

I had similar at a gig, only the jack was completely gone and I didn’t have a backup. Lesson learned, especially as I’d checked it was working before I set off.

Ditto. Only once, but once was enough. However I do sometimes test fate.......😳
