I used to get so cheesed off with people who would talk to me whilst I was actually playing AND singing!......... "How are ya doing man? Any chance you could play any Coldplay for my mate?" Then they would get all shirty when you didn't answer.

I miss the days when buskers would play an unamplified acoustic guitar, and if they were singing the volume was dictated by what they could push out of their lungs.

You haven't met the "bums" in Glasgow then. A mixture of pissheads and organised rip off gangs. None of the designer homeless that you see on all of these "heartwarming" videos on Youtube.

Hard to know which of the two is worse. The busker is breaking the local laws and causing a noise nuisance. They deserve each other.

Me too. As long as they have some talent, and aren't pushy and in your face. Have at it!

I've seen some absolutely amazing street performers over the years. Better than many I've seen in pubs and clubs.

I like a bit of busking too👍. 
I can accept if it’s a bit short on talent (within reason)….. but busking to a backing track is a no-no for me.

Most of the bums I come across are pushy or aggressive. When I used to live in London, Waterloo Bridge was notorious for them. More recently in Cheltenham there are several bums notorious for their aggressive panhandling attitude and known to be both claiming benefits and having accommodation. You see them out on the streets in the good weather but they're nowhere to be seen when it's chucking down.
