NPD! Mxr Bass Auto Q

An upcoming band reunion means I needed an auto wah/envelope filter.

Fancied one of these a while ago - but none available.

Reviews all seem positive so I jumped on this one @Kirky was flogging.

Had a couple of these in the past. Always been tempted by another but my filter needs are covered at the moment. Great pedal

Ooh! How does it compare to the M82 do you know? The M82 is one of my fave pedals but am always interested in hearing about alternatives!

They are very different beasts. From what I remember this doesn’t get as “wet” sounding. I always used it for its autowah as opposed to envelope, a role which is now filled by my Subdecay Prometheus. But the Bass Auto Q was a fun pedal, with it’s ability to blend between envelope and LFO

It’s ok, as stated above - not as full on as some pedals I’ve had. 
 

For what I need it for, it will do.

I did enjoy the fact the volume doesn’t drop and can actually be “louder” - my q-tron sometimes seemed to have a drop in volume when engaged.

Sounds good. And it’s a black Pedal Which makes my bass sound like a duck.
