There isn’t one of the whole of the front of the bass.

I kinda see what’s happening with the MHS. I does match the colour of the back of the instrument. An unusual way of doing a MHS if ever there was.

Almost every maple boarded black Gibson? It's not their fault they almost always have a black headstock, it's the Gibson way so it's pretty much colour matched by default.

Not a fan of the look,  I have to say. The knobs and gold hardware combined with the admittedly-well-executed finish are a little too Liberace for me!

Just had another look, and whilst it's a bit bling for me,  maybe the Liberace comparison isn't very fair. World would be boring if we all had the same tastes, after all.

Apart from the nonsensical headstock finish and the knobs, I don’t mind it. Wouldn’t buy one, but I’ve seen far worse.

Thanks for the full view - I’d prefer a natural headstock, though overall, to me that’s a very lovely bass
