hummergeist
UFO at Hammersmith Odeon, years ago. I was at the front, and as the main set ended, Phil Mogg said off-mic, 'see you in a minute'. I liked the honesty of that.
Skybone
Why would anyone want to fake an Encore? They were never that great instruments in the first place...

Paul S
I had one I liked, as it happens A double cutaway short scale with a P pickup in it. I swapped the stock pup for an Entwistle one and it was pretty tidy. Weighed 3kgs, too. The neck wasn't great - a little bit warped - so in the end I mated the body with the neck of a Hondo II 32" scale, with some jiggery pokery and moving the bridge back a touch, and have a nice little rocking thing now. But I'd get another of the Encores if one came up cheaply.
Nail Soup
Well it seems like my cunning plan to recruit a few fans to The Lovely Eggs has backfired 😀! I just hope that their bass player is not a member here.... oh, hang on, they don't have a bass player 😉.

I had an encore Les Paul once, it was quite good, hefty like a LP, even looked quite decent with a cherry sunburst, it wasn't too shoddy at all, suppose it depends which of the usual suspect manufacturers made it.. Pretty certainly MIK I'd think.

Just as I do the Doors..
