'WITHDRAWN' German Double Bass---Sell Or Exchange £4000 Northumberland

My German double for sale. Would accept a  sensible offer. Bass is Circa 1880's. Written valuation.

Reason for sale or exchange: Due to my age a bit to big to carry round. The bass has been repaired in the past--I have owned the bass for approx 40 years. A set up years ago was done by Robert Dawson of Greenwich, London and quality tuners fitted and new endpin. A good sounding bass--nice to play--If I was younger I would keep it. Bought from a pro orchestral player. Used by myself for both pizz & arco. Strings are Spirocore Weich. I live in Northumberland. Could arrange to meet up if an exchange.

Details of the German bass:

Top Bout: 21 and half inches width

Bottom Bout: 26 inches width

Scale length:43 lnches

Total length of bass: 76 and 3/4 inches from top of scroll  to bottom of endpin.

 

Would exchange (or part exchange) my German bass for a quality smaller double bass. Depends on what you have. Looking for a smaller scale length upright bass. PM me to buy or exchange.
