meterman Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Baba Sissoko is from Mali, his daughter is singing in French and they recorded their album in Italy. On an analogue tape machine. And it’s a belter. 2 Quote

It's typically German, from Austria originally, but used in Bavaria and Switzerland too. That said, I thought about this terrific tune too. The intro by Jan Akkerman is a bit of a mess here, but when Thijs van Leer starts in, Jan gets back to the main riff allowing Thijs to yodel with a strong ... Dutch accent. Hellzero Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Try this, in French, great lyrics and still a rock'n'roll attitude. The record from this live session without audience is really really good. Quote
nekomatic Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Has this thread had enough cavorting French women in it yet? No it has not: 1 Quote
LeftyP Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Trijntje always hits the spot with this. The emotion she puts into it overcomes the language difficulty. 1 Quote
