Zero Fret
Excellent playing bass that has been my go to bass for the last couple of years. Lovely slim, fast neck - really easy to play, and not just a metal bass either - really wide palette of sounds. Recent new D'addario XL nickels fitted. Good all round condition except for a small split in the wood of the body just below the tone controls - I had this repaired by a professional luthier, and I've had no trouble at all with it. Otherwise in really good condition bar a couple of small dinks which I've tried to show this in the photos. Collection from Machynlleth or buyer pays postage. It is sometimes possible for me to deliver in other parts of Wales if work takes me in the right area. It's been a great bass for me, but I've now got a hankering for something different, so this one has to go. The Factory Blurb: The Ibanez Bass Workshop - SR series SRFF805 from Ibanez is a 5-string electric bass guitar featuring a 5pc jatoba/bubinga neck with fanned frets, an ash body, and a black stained finish. The deep cutaway body allows for unencumbered access to the upper regions of the fingerboard. The SR5 5pc neck couples jatoba with bubinga to create stability and strength in a thin design with increased sustain and superior tone, while the fanned frets help to create a more open tone and provide an enhanced ergonomic playability. The Bartolini BH-1 pickups provide a wide frequency range with enhanced bottom end and a fuller midrange. Other features include the Mono-rail V bridge, a custom 3-band EQ with bypass, and dedicated volume and balance controls. Additional controls provided include treble, mid, and bass boost/cut, as well as a 3-way mid-frequency selector switch (250, 450, and 700 Hz) and an EQ bypass switch. Multi-Scale (Fanned) Frets Equalized tension helps to create a more "alive," open tone. But the design also improves player comfort. The slant of the fanned frets ergonomically coordinates with the way a player's hand angles as it moves up and down the neck, facilitating quick, comfortable playing action The custom 3-band EQ with an EQ bypass switch and mid-frequency switch provide precise tonal control, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. When the EQ bypass is activated, the treble tone-control knob becomes the global tone control for the passive circuit The Mono-rail V is the ultimate bridge for bass string isolation. Each bridge is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer without interference Balancing clarity with warmth is the hallmark of the Bartolini BH-1 pickup. Coils with lower resonant frequency provide tighter bottom end and a fuller midrange. The dual-coil style configuration maximizes articulation and a long blade pole piece widens the magnetic field, providing balanced string-to-string pickup response General Features Neck Type: SRFF5 fanned 5pc jatoba / bubinga Body: Ash Fingerboard: Rosewood fingerboard Frets: Fanned 24, medium Bridge: Mono-rail V bridge (16.5mm string spacing) Neck Pickup: Bartolini BH-1 neck pickup (Passive) Bridge Pickup: Bartolini BH-1 bridge pickup (Passive) Equalizer: Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ with EQ bypass switch (passive tone control on treble pot) and mid-frequency switch Hardware Color: Cosmo black Edited July 10, 2021 by Zero Fret
