Both Reproduction and Travelogue are (and have been since released) in my top ten albums. Proper genius.

I saw Bauhaus many, many times back when they were in their pomp, some of the early gigs were so exciting, proper possessed madness, extraordinary.

We were probably both in the same audience lol!

Just rediscovered this blast from the past. Sit back, pop your class A of choice and get lost in its hypnotic groove.

I loved how Ministry evolved album by album. Until they got to Filth Pig, then they stalled for the rest of time.
As much as I love Land of Rape and Honey, and The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste. I really like their pop stuff!

More post punk whimsy. Not exactly a Desert Island Disc but this really takes me back to John Peel midweek and Anne Nightingale. Really enjoying this thread

Singer had one of the best stage names…… Helen McCookerybook😃

Remember buying the single version of this in 1981, but can't find on youtube (seems it's worth £50+! I'm rich!). So here it is, in all its glory, from the album:

This isn't the usual post-punk fare although the band emerged from the Fire Engines in the early 80s.

It was 'Dear God' that got the American's panties in a twist.

From 1980, a time when you could buy pretty much any record by a band from Sheffield and get something good.

Vice-Versa eventually morphed into the less interesting ABC...

I would have loved to see Bauhaus live  back then. One of my favourite bands.
