Nealepi
Now we are told that things are getting back to normal and for a lot of us this means gigs at pubs etc. How do you see this working out ? I mean the pubs bars and venues have had a rough time of it too. Will they go back to where we left off or do you see them not paying a going rate. Would you gig in the near future for a reduced fee. We had only started gigging in 2019 but in Feb 2020 we were pretty much booked for the year. Of course all that stopped and its like starting over again. Some of the venues are no more and some have had to turn to being more of a restaurant. Tonight we turned a gig booking down due to it being low pay. On one hand i think we should have just played the gig and on the other we should have been paid the normal rate. Either way we were never going to make money as we all know the equipment doesnt get donated for free. Discuss ?
neepheid
I'm not going to put up with fees being reduced - if venues are permitted to operate at capacity. If there are still capacity issues then I would expect to take a hit in proportion with that.
