borntohang Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 Don't have them myself unfortunately but their customer service is excellent - everyone else in my group uses them and they've been really good with us. 1 Quote
Higgie Posted August 3, 2021 Posted August 3, 2021 Love mine so much I bought a second pair as a backup. They are truly excellent! I no longer use an amp on 95% of my gigs and these IEMs give me all the heft and low end I could want! 1 Quote
stewblack Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 I thought I would pick up a set. Six hundred quid! Ay carumba! Maybe not. Quote

paul_5 Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 I wish I hadn't heard how much they cost, which is ironic really. Quote
Higgie Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 Worth every penny IMO. Admittedly I got an artist deal so didn’t pay quite that much, but I still bought a backup set as I was so impressed. No regrets here at all 1 Quote
bertbass Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 If they're replacing your amp and cab they're not that expensive. 1 Quote

They offer hearing protection, enabling you to have monitoring at a safe level 2.They offer an enhanced clarity over traditional monitoring solutions, you only hear what you want to hear, with minimal influence from ambient sound 3. You can move around the stage without impacting what you hear 4. They are a lot easier to carry around than a pair or wedges or rig (see them as a replacement for your rig, or monitor wedges, or both - and then you'll see that comparatively, they are cheap... and your back will thank you for it) 5. They enable you to go ampless 6. They enable consistency across gigs 7. They look cool as fk and makes it look like you mean business @Hammer_If you haven't already, check out the following thread - https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/389429-the-iem-bible-thread/ - all the advantages and tricks and tips are cleared off in there. 1 Quote

To be fair, it should perhaps be stated that an adequate PA is needed for these to do the job, most notably a monitor mixer with enough channels for all EIM uses to choose what they hear. That's not always in the budget of 'Dog'n'Duck' players. Not to say EIM is not a Good Idea, but it's not simply a matter of buying a set and selling one's rig. Quote

Hence the link - I didn't want to regurgitate the whole lot... but yeah... this ^ If people aren't using PAs, maybe sacking of the rig and buying a couple of top end tops is the way to go. That way you can use a top as a traditional rig if you are playing with a band when you need to play without IEMs. Quote
