tubbybloke68 Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 Hi, apologies if someone else has already asked but any experiences /feedback would be appreciated please? Build quality/real world volume etc.I’ve been using a Tecamp puma 900 for the last 5 years which is an amazing little thing I have to say, just intrigued about these British built amps. Thanks in advance folks x Quote
Mykesbass Posted August 3, 2021 Posted August 3, 2021 I tried one in Bass Direct and was shocked at how quiet it seemed compared to everything else I tried. 1 Quote
Merton Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 I recently read elsewhere on here that it's currently being redesigned and will be re-launched later this year with a new/updated power stage... 1 Quote
BillyBass Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 The bloke who owns Bassics is a very well respected recording engineer, Malcolm Toft. Unfortunately for us bassists, he makes more money out of mixing desks than bass amps, so that is his main area of work. I was told there would be a new A900 power amp out in about three months. They have the chassi (plural of chassis?) ready but some other components are still to be delivered. 23 hours ago, Mykesbass said: I tried one in Bass Direct and was shocked at how quiet it seemed compared to everything else I tried. Quiet? As in isn't able to go very loud or has little hiss or fan noise? Knowing the designer's background, I would bet Bassics stuff would be at its best in a studio. 1 Quote
