I very nearly bought a white one of these 30 years ago. Even stuck a £20 deposit on it before finding a black Charvel Fusion V in a local music shop and begging my girlfriend to lend me difference. Before you judge me as a typical sponging muso, I should add we've now been married 23 years. Knew she was a keeper. oldslapper
Do I have to sign up to the time trial before viewing the bass? 😊 Can I borrow a bike?

Welshbassist
Wow what is going on there - have they put in a new nut and bridge? That must feel very strange to play.
oldslapper
Mmm looks like the (bodge job) master luthier work of “he who shall not be named” You know: take a perfectly playable instrument, make unnecessary alterations (badly), then justify your handy work with a lengthy sales spiel and charge more than a new unmolested instrument. 🤦🏻♂️
yorks5stringer
I gave up reading the accompanying blurb after a few words: do I need to visit Specsavers? The stuff in block capitals is virtually unreadable to me...
Machines
Someone went to a lot of effort to big up that instrument. Bless.
bassbloke
Begs the question of why you wouldn't just stick a 5 string bridge back on, pop in a new nut, shove an old 5 string set on and let buyer decide whether the B sounded muddy or not. Our bizarre friend would have just ground new slots in the existing saddles (probably using a sparpened soup spoon) and reshaped the nut (possibly with the same spon, who knows?) to barely accept 4 strings. Also the tuners are all at acceptable angles and the control knobs are all the same colour.
