Gigging again!!!

Tomorrow I'll be playing my first gig since November 2019 .... it's at a small festival in Sussex. I feel a strange mixture of excitement and disbelief.
Hopefully the first of many more to come.

Despite spending an uncomfortable night in  van battered by the rain and being kept awake by a dance tent that had opened up a portal to Hell we had a good one, the sun shone during all bar one song. I was a bit nervous having been drafted in at short notice after the untimely death of the previous encumbent , I have depped for them many times but nearly two years off did make it feel a bit seat of the pants.

Wondered if you'd get the gig having heard about the tragic passing of the previous incumbent....

I know their set inside out after many dep gigs. They asked me to fill in while Chris was I'll , then a week later I was told the sad news.

You're a trouper. Being somewhat too old for that chit I might have bunked down in the van but I would have found a motel for the night once the boom boom started.
